Short stature (SS) in childhood is of common concern for parents. Height or stature can play a role in various aspects of life, including academics, career opportunities, leadership, sports, and even the entertainment industry.¹
Psychosocial stress associated with shortness is more distressing, depending upon height deficit and child’s coping skills. While most short children are perfectly healthy, some may have underlying medical conditions that need a closer look.¹
Timely detection and addressing growth problems early is key to ensuring children reach their full height potential.¹ The goal of this website is to build awareness on early diagnosis and treatment of growth disorders.
